Attorney Mark Fiddler has dedicated his career to protecting children and families.
He has served as:
- Private practice attorney for adoptive families
- Founding director of the Indian Child Welfare Law Center
- Attorney for guardians ad litem
Mark has litigated adoption and ICWA cases in courts throughout the United States, including the United States Supreme Court.
Mark is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, a Kellogg International Leadership Fellow, and a 2013 Minnesota Attorney of the Year.
Mark finds his greatest joy outside of work in the simple, meaningful moments—cycling open roads, leading popular spin classes at the Y, and experimenting in the kitchen. Above all, he treasures time with his wife, Betsy, their grandchildren—Bella, Manny, and June—and their beloved Labrador Retrievers.
Mark is the co-author of a leading American Bar Association book on ICWA and adoption law.
Testimonials
If you are thinking you need the BEST attorney possibly, my husband and I could not recommend anyone better than this one! Mr. Fiddler and his paralegal have moved MOUNTAINS to help us adopt our beautiful children before Christmas. We are forever grateful for their wisdom, kindness, and amazing attention to details.
The Homan Family
When everyone told us we had no chance, Mark Fiddler stepped in and chose to fight for us, standing beside our family when it mattered most. We’ll never be able to fully put into words what he’s meant to us—he’s incredibly knowledgeable, sharp, and never intimidated, and he didn’t just represent us, he stood with us and fought for our foster child with dedication, honesty, and heart; if you want someone who truly listens, tells the truth, and refuses to back down when everything is on the line, he’s the one you call.
